Director of Operations

Originally a musician and music major specializing in guitar performance, Ben turned to construction early in life as a way to subsidize his passion for music and the arts. It didn’t take long for the side work to turn into another passion as he developed his skills in construction and remodeling. 
 
After cutting his teeth with other companies, he decided to found his own construction company and focused on high quality tile work, bathroom and kitchen remodels. The ability to bring homeowners ideas to life and create works of art in everyday spaces brought a fulfilling career and lifelong experience.
 
Realizing the restoration space was riddled with insufficiencies as far as quality, communication and honesty, Ben became one of the founding members of First Call Restoration with a mission to provide outstanding service and quality to business and homeowners alike looking for an unmatched experience when they face unforeseen or planned construction needs.
 
He now functions as Director of Operations at First Call and continues to help drive the company towards growth, ethics and a 5 star standard that we hang our hats on at the end of a hard day.

With over 15 years of hands-on experience in both residential and commercial construction, I bring a deep understanding of the building process—from breaking ground on a new home to putting the finishing touches on a backyard deck. My background is rooted in a family tradition of construction, and I’ve been working summers in the field since I was 15, learning the trades from the ground up.

As a Project Manager at First Call Restoration, I specialize in helping homeowners navigate the aftermath of water or fire damage. I know how overwhelming it can be when your home is suddenly torn apart by an unexpected loss. That’s why I lead every project with compassion, clear communication, and a steady hand—working closely with homeowners and insurance companies to make the restoration process as smooth and stress-free as possible.

I’m big on communication and pay close attention to detail, ensuring every step of the job is done right the first time. Whether I’m managing a full rebuild or a small repair, I treat every home as if it were my own.

Outside of work, I’m very family-oriented and enjoy spending quality time with my wife and our miniature Goldendoodle. I also love being outdoors—hunting, fishing, golfing, enjoying watersports, and spending time in the world of powersports.

Robert Newtson is a seasoned Project Manager with over 15 years of experience in the restoration industry. Since 2009, he has been dedicated to helping homeowners and property managers recover from water and fire damage, with a strong focus on both residential and multi-family properties.

Known for his professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail, Robert takes great pride in guiding clients through difficult situations and restoring their properties with care and confidence.

Outside of work, Robert enjoys spending quality time with his family, playing with his kids, and staying active—preferably outdoors. He’s also an avid DIY enthusiast who enjoys working on home improvement projects in his spare time.
